A precast concrete fire table is a great way to add warmth and ambiance to your outdoor living space while also serving as an attractive focal point. But finding a high-quality concrete fire table that can be customized to meet your needs isn’t always easy. And larger concrete fire tables can be a challenge to transport to your home if you don’t own a truck or van.

Caldera Fire Co., a Fairfield, Conn., company specializing in custom concrete fire tables and tabletop fire bowls, has found a way to simplify the process by allowing you to shop for a concrete fire table online and have it delivered to your doorstep.

“Our stylish tables are constructed from high-strength glass-fiber-reinforced concrete (GFRC) for years of enjoyment,” says Jeff Kuryluk, owner of Caldera Fire Co. All the fire tables are made by hand using natural materials, giving them slight variations in color, texture, and appearance. These irregularities, such as differences in sand exposure and concrete layering lines, are what make concrete great, according to Kuryluk, because they add character and distinction to each piece.

Caldera Fire Co. offers a variety of square and rectangular concrete fire table styles, ranging in size from 38 x 38 inches to 56 x 30 inches. Standard features include electronic ignition and a high-output 90,000-btu burner that comes with a lifetime warranty. Although the fire tables are set up for direct hookup to natural gas, they can also be modified to run off a 20-pound propane tank.

“If you don't see what you are looking for, we can create a custom table for you for both residential and commercial applications,” says Kuryluk.

The newest offering from Caldera Fire Co. is The Rock, which is modeled after a piece of granite sliced in half with a fire feature in the middle. Since it is made from lightweight GFRC, The Rock weighs only 250 pounds and is light enough to be placed on a patio or deck, making it a practical alternative to solid granite.

“The Rock is not just a fire table; it's a unique and stunning piece that can transform any outdoor area into a warm and inviting oasis,” says Kuryluk.

If you can’t afford or don’t have the space for a large concrete fire table, Caldera Fire Co. also sells tabletop fire bowls (in both tapered and square shapes) that can be used indoors or out. They are the perfect size to set on a patio table or even take on a camping trip. Just fill the center with isopropyl rubbing alcohol and light with a long lighter. Made from a high-strength refractory concrete mix tested to withstand temperatures over 2000 degrees F, these fire bowls can safely burn isopropyl alcohol for up to 40 minutes with no need for an insert.

“Every fire bowl is made by our skilled craftsman and may have small variations, including air holes common with concrete. But that is what makes each fire bowl unique,” says Kuryluk.
