New! Audio Podcast from The Concrete Network

The Concrete Network has launched a new podcast for concrete construction contractors. A podcast, according to Wikipedia, is a blending of the words in Apples iPod and broadcasting. It is a method of publishing files to the Internet, allowing users to subscribe to a feed and receive new files automatically.

This podcast is a free audio feed interview of Jim Peterson, president of The Concrete Network, explaining how doing what you love is different than running a profitable concrete business. Often contractors only work on the things they love, are the most fun, or that they are the best at. Sometimes contractors overlook or misunderstand the profitability issue, and take on a job because it's fun, it will make them famous, or for some other soft reason. Peterson shares the several top-level decisions that must be made in estimating.
